LASIK Eye Surgery in
White Plains, NY

You’ll find the full range of vision correction here under one roof: LASIK and PRK, EVO ICL, refractive lens exchange, cataract surgery with premium lens implants, and corneal cross-linking. That range is deliberate. A practice that offers one procedure tends to recommend that procedure. We evaluate first and let the evaluation decide.

Why Westchester Trusts

Laser & Corneal Surgery Associates for LASIK

Why Patients Choose Us

“We don’t fit the patient to a procedure, we find the right procedure for the patient. And if you’re not a candidate, we tell you.”

— Dr. Jodi Abramson

Surgeons other surgeons train under: LASIK is a corneal procedure, yet fewer than one in five ophthalmologists completes the additional fellowship year in cornea. Both of our founding surgeons did, and went on to teach the fellowship that trained more than 25 of New York’s corneal and refractive surgeons.

130,000+ procedures: Dr. Speaker has performed more than 70,000 LASIK and PRK procedures plus 10,000 intraocular procedures. Dr. Abramson more than 60,000 across thirty years, and was among the first surgeons anywhere to use the excimer laser.

The full range under one roof: LASIK, PRK, EVO ICL, refractive lens exchange and corneal cross-linking, including staged combination procedures for prescriptions as high as −24.

Alcon WaveLight® Plus and InnovEyes™: ray-tracing and AI build a 3D model of your eye, so your plan corrects higher-order aberrations, not just your prescription.

Concierge care, not an assembly line: a personal call from your surgeon before surgery, and your surgeon’s own cell number afterward, nights and weekends included.

Referred by 250+ doctors: ophthalmologists, optometrists and physicians from across medicine send their patients here, and many have had their own eyes done by our surgeons.

Fun Fact!
They trusted each other with their own eyes: Dr. Abramson performed Dr. Speaker’s LASIK, and he performed hers.

Life Without Glasses or Contacts

LASIK is the best known route there, but it is not the only one. Here is what changes, whichever procedure turns out to be right for your eyes.

Clearer vision, fast

Most patients notice a dramatic improvement within days, and with LASIK often within 24 hours.

Freedom from glasses & contacts

No more lens cases, no more foggy lenses on the subway platform.

An easier life in the city

Gym, pool, rain, commute. No reaching for your glasses.

Quick & comfortable

About 10–15 minutes per eye. Nearly every patient tells us afterward it was far easier than they imagined.

Recovery that fits your life

Most patients are back to normal activities quickly. Recovery differs by procedure, and your surgeon will tell you exactly what to expect for yours.

The right procedure for your eyes

LASIK, PRK, EVO ICL or lens exchange. Your evaluation decides which is best for your vision goals and needs.

What to expect, from first call to final follow-up

You have direct access to your surgeon at every step. Here is exactly what that means, in order.

Drs. Giordana Avila and Jennifer Marques work alongside your surgeon through evaluation, pre-operative testing and every post-operative visit, so you see familiar faces from your first exam to your last.

Step 1: Book

Request an appointment online or call the White Plains office. No referral needed.

Coverage and payment:

Financing and Insurance Options

Every eye is different, and so is every treatment plan. Your surgeon recommends the procedure after your evaluation, and you’ll know exactly what’s involved before you decide anything.

Insurance

We accept most vision and medical insurance plans. Ask when you book and we'll take it from there.

Financing & payment

Financing is available, and we accept FSA and HSA funds. Whatever your surgeon recommends, you’ll get clear numbers up front, with no hidden fees and nothing to work out after the fact.

Seamless, easy, perfect experience. Everyone was kind and welcoming, the surgery itself was quick and easy, and less than 24 hours later I’m seeing better than perfect! Thank you SO much, Dr Abramson 👀💕

There are plenty of LASIK places around but Dr. Abramson is THE person to go to! She as well as Samantha, Ashley, Jen and Sophie were amazing to work with and provided exceptional, friendly care. I am very happy with my decision to pay a bit more than the lowest quote I got from another place, in order to have the surgery performed by an exceptional team in a lovely, comfortable setting. It is priceless to be able to see without glasses/contacts now. It’s amazing! Don’t be fooled by some of the factory-like, huge LASIK practices in the area. Dr. Abramson is the way to go!!

Referred by your eye doctor?

More than 250 physicians refer their patients to each of our surgeons. If your optometrist or ophthalmologist sent you here, we work directly with them, and return your care to their office after surgery.

Ophthalmologists, plastic surgeons, optometrists and physicians from every specialty have also chosen Dr. Speaker and Dr. Abramson for their own eye surgery. Many now send their families. Patients travel from across the country and around the world, usually on their own doctor’s referral.

What co-managed care means for you: your own doctor stays involved, your follow-ups happen where it’s convenient, and nothing about your ongoing care changes.
